A fresh week, a fresh batch of dining joints just for you. In the bag this time:

1. GYOZA YA (pictured here): A gyoza joint in Robinsons Orchard (finally! A proper place to eat there!) helmed by a chef from Tokyo. Along with chubby dumplings, you can fill up on noodles, fried chicken and more.

2. The Bakery Chef: A surprisingly sophisticated bakehouse in Bukit Merah Central, headed by a patissier who used to work at Raffles Hotel. Try the yummy Salted Caramel Surprise.

3. Strictly Pastry: Another pastry joint, also with a bit of a pedigree – the chef-owner used to work at The Patissier. The mod offerings at this Joo Chiat spot include the Pucker, a tangy tart with lime foam and jelly.
